Energy management without hardware: track usage against budget
Termina tracks every site's energy usage and cost against budget, with no hardware to install and your first 50 bills free.
Is there an energy management platform without hardware?
In short: Termina tracks energy usage and cost against your budget for every site, and shows what your appliances cost to run, so you can keep costs on track before bills arrive. There is no hardware to install. Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options.
Yes. Termina works from your bills, interval data and equipment register, so there is nothing to install at your sites. Most groups only find out what a site used when the bill lands, and by then the money is spent. Seeing usage against budget, and what each appliance costs to run, shows you which sites and which equipment to fix first.
Termina is an Australian and New Zealand business energy procurement company and energy data platform.

How do you reduce energy usage across multiple sites?
Start with where it goes. Then fix the sites and the equipment that cost the most.
Usage and cost against budget
See usage and cost against your budget, so overspend shows up before the bill does.
What appliances cost to run
Your equipment is connected to your energy prices, so you can see what each appliance costs and schedule it better.
Upgrades worth making
Simulate upgrades across the network to find the highest-return change, or the return on an electrification project.
What changes when you track usage against budget?
You stop finding out after the money is spent. Usage shows up against a number you set, by site and by appliance.
| Waiting for the bill | Tracking in Termina | |
|---|---|---|
| When you find out | When the bill arrives | Before bills arrive |
| What you see | One total per site | Usage and cost by site, fuel and appliance |

Does an energy management platform need hardware at my sites?
Not this one. Termina runs on what your retailers already produce: you upload once, authorise us once, and every bill after that arrives by itself. The first automatic bill takes 30 to 45 days.
Upload once
Upload a bill, or a year of them, as the PDF from your retailer. No template and no reformatting, and you see your data the same day.
Authorise once
Sign one authority and we update the billing contact with each of your retailers, so every bill after that comes straight to Termina.
Bills arrive by themselves
Retailers usually confirm within about a week. The first automatic bill lands on your next billing cycle, 30 to 45 days after you authorise us.
Checked, then exported
Every bill is re-added against its own total, tested against your contract where we hold it, and flagged where it needs review. Then export it, or report from it.
Nothing about your supply changes. A new billing contact is not a new retailer. See how the free tier works.
Is there a free energy bill platform?
Yes. Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options.
Free when we run your procurement
$0 for the platform when Termina runs your procurement. Every site, bill and fuel in one place, bills validated, and data that stays yours.
Free to start
Your first 50 bills are free. That is roughly a year of monthly bills across four sites, enough to test the data on your own portfolio before you commit anything to it.
More options: talk to us
Want the platform without procurement, or more than your first 50 bills? Talk to us about the options. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first.

What else do teams ask about energy management without hardware?
Do I need to install hardware to track usage?
No. Termina works from your bills, interval data and equipment register, so there is nothing to install at your sites.
How do I see what an appliance costs to run?
Add it to your equipment register. Termina connects it to the energy prices on that site's bill and calculates what it costs to run.
Does using less energy reduce my Scope 2 emissions?
Yes. Scope 2 is calculated from the electricity you consume, so lower usage means lower reported Scope 2. Termina reports from actual consumption on each bill, so the reduction shows up in the numbers.
What is the difference between reducing usage and lowering rates?
Usage is how much energy you consume. Rates are what you pay for each unit. Termina does both: the platform shows where usage can come down, and when we run your procurement we keep sites on the lowest rate we can find. See lower your rates.
Do I have to upload every bill?
No. Upload your first bills if you want to see the data today. Once you authorise us, we update the billing contact with each of your retailers, so every bill after that comes straight to Termina. The first automatic bill takes 30 to 45 days, because it lands on your retailer's next billing cycle.
How much does the Termina platform cost?
Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first. The details are on our pricing page.
See whether your data comes back clean
Upload a handful of bills and look at what comes out. Your first 50 bills on the platform are free, and the platform is free when we run your procurement.
