The short answer

What is an energy data platform?

In short: Termina collects the electricity, gas and LPG bills from every site you run and turns them into one checked dataset, ready for Scope 1 and 2 reporting. It is built for multi-site and franchise groups. Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options.

An energy data platform collects the energy bills from every site you run and turns them into one structured, checked dataset. Termina is an Australian and New Zealand business energy procurement company and energy data platform. The platform is the data half: bills, meters, contracts, usage and emissions for every business location, in one place.

Your data history stays with Termina when a site changes retailer, so you keep years of records every time you renegotiate.

Who it is for

Who uses energy bill management software?

Sustainability and compliance leads use Termina to report. Procurement uses the same data to buy. Finance uses it to see what was spent.

Sustainability and compliance

Scope 1 and 2 by site and period, from actual consumption, with every figure traced back to its bill. Audit-ready emissions data for AASB S2 reporting.

Procurement

One checked view of what every site uses and pays, across every retailer. It is the same data our procurement team negotiates real contracts on.

Finance and operations

Spend and usage across every site in one dashboard, with exports to CSV, Excel and JSON, instead of a spreadsheet kept by hand.

Compared

What is the best way to get energy data for Scope 2 reporting?

From the bill. A spend-based estimate rises when prices rise, so you can end up reporting emissions that never happened. Actual consumption moves when your usage moves.

How bills get in

Does an energy management platform need hardware at my sites?

Not this one. Termina runs on what your retailers already produce: you upload once, authorise us once, and every bill after that arrives by itself. The first automatic bill takes 30 to 45 days.

01

Upload once

Upload a bill, or a year of them, as the PDF from your retailer. No template and no reformatting, and you see your data the same day.

02

Authorise once

Sign one authority and we update the billing contact with each of your retailers, so every bill after that comes straight to Termina.

03

Bills arrive by themselves

Retailers usually confirm within about a week. The first automatic bill lands on your next billing cycle, 30 to 45 days after you authorise us.

04

Checked, then exported

Every bill is re-added against its own total, tested against your contract where we hold it, and flagged where it needs review. Then export it, or report from it.

Nothing about your supply changes. A new billing contact is not a new retailer. See how the free tier works.

Pricing

Is there a free energy bill platform?

Yes. Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options.

Free when we run your procurement

$0 for the platform when Termina runs your procurement. Every site, bill and fuel in one place, bills validated, and data that stays yours.

Free to start

Your first 50 bills are free. That is roughly a year of monthly bills across four sites, enough to test the data on your own portfolio before you commit anything to it.

Questions

What should I ask before choosing energy bill management software?

What does the Termina platform include?

Bills, meters, contracts, usage and emissions for every site, in one dashboard, with an API for developers. It covers electricity, gas and LPG, embedded networks, solar and batteries, and an asset register for equipment.

How much does the Termina platform cost?

Free to start with your first 50 bills, or $0 when we run your procurement. Talk to us about more options. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first. The details are on our pricing page.

Do I have to upload every bill?

No. Upload your first bills if you want to see the data today. Once you authorise us, we update the billing contact with each of your retailers, so every bill after that comes straight to Termina. The first automatic bill takes 30 to 45 days, because it lands on your retailer's next billing cycle.

Do I have to switch retailers to use the platform?

No. Having your bills sent to us is a change of billing contact with your current retailer, not a change of retailer. Nothing about your supply, contracts or accounts changes, and plenty of clients use the reporting without ever taking a quote from us.

Does Termina make me AASB S2 compliant?

No software makes you compliant on its own. Termina gives you audit-ready emissions data for AASB S2 reporting: Scope 1 and 2 by site and period, the right factor applied to each fuel, and every figure traced back to the bill it came from. We are not your carbon accounting software or your auditor. We supply the data underneath both.

Do I need to install hardware?

No. The platform works from your bills, retailer data and interval data, so there is nothing to install at your sites.

Where is my data stored?

Bills, documents and the core database are stored in Australian regions, encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or better in transit. Some automated processing runs through overseas services, as set out in our privacy policy. Your data is never sold, and nothing goes to a retailer unless you sign a letter of authority asking us to go to market.

Does it work in New Zealand?

Yes. New Zealand sites are keyed on ICP, and the same dataset supports XRB CS1 disclosure. Talk to us if you have sites on both sides of the Tasman.

Is there an API for energy bill data?

Yes. The Termina bill extraction API takes a PDF energy bill and returns raw, unvalidated data as JSON, for developers building their own checks. You get 50 API credits to start. They are a separate offer from your first 50 bills on the platform, which are fully validated. Start with the quickstart or the API docs.
