Your ICP

What is an ICP number?

Your ICP number is the 15-character code that identifies where a retailer supplies each site, and our ICP lookup guide shows you how to find and read yours.

Small or large

Is my business small market or large market in New Zealand?

In New Zealand it comes down to the meter, not a kWh figure. Both kinds of site can be on fixed-term contracts with exit fees, so we check the contract on every ICP.

The process

How does Termina buy business electricity in New Zealand?

01

Send us your bills

Recent PDF bills from your retailer are enough to start. No need to dig out 12 months up front.

02

Get an indicative number

We read every ICP, check the contract, and come back with an indicative saving.

03

Join, and give us authority

With your authority, we request 12 months of usage from your retailer for every ICP.

04

We go to market

We put your electricity in front of retailers on your real usage, and hold every contract end date from there.

What it costs

What does Termina cost in New Zealand?

$0 to join. We refuse retailer commissions in New Zealand, as we do in Australia, so the only way we are paid is a share of what we save you.

Small business

A 50/50 share of the saving. Every energy broker is paid by the retailer they put you with. We refuse those commissions, so the only way we get paid is a share of what we save you, split 50/50. No saving, no fee. Our fee sits inside your rates rather than arriving as a separate bill.

Measured against the best rate you can get yourself. If you can already get a better rate than the one you are on, that rate becomes the benchmark, and we only share in savings found beyond it.

Guarantee. On small business plans in New Zealand: if no better rate is found in 12 months, you get $100 off your next bill (NZD). Terms apply.

Large business

Published, in full. No fee to run the tender. Once you switch, 1% of your bill (capped at $80 a month) plus 10% of what we save you.

Every contract date held. We track the contract on every ICP and go back to market at the right time.

One platform. Every bill, site and contract in one place: free to start (your first 50 bills), and $0 when we run your procurement.
