Will switching interrupt supply to our fridges or equipment?

No. A switch changes who bills you, not the connection. Nothing changes physically at the clinic and there’s no interruption to supply.

We’re an after-hours or 24-hour clinic. Does that change anything?

It changes which tariff suits you. When much of your usage falls overnight and on weekends, the off-peak rate carries more weight. We benchmark each clinic on its own usage, not an average.

Is a large clinic or hospital priced differently?

Yes. A site on time-of-use metering is priced through a tender rather than off a published plan. In New Zealand the line is set by metering, not by state: sites on time-of-use (half-hourly) metering are priced through a tender, and non-half-hourly sites are reviewed every month.
