Tango Energy’s cheapest plan beats the regulated benchmark on 4 of the 10 networks that have one. The biggest margin is on Powercor: 5.3% below the Victorian Default Offer.
It is not among the five cheapest retailers on any network. It sits in the dearest third on Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, AusNet Services, Energex and SA Power Networks.
The widest gap to the market is on SA Power Networks, where Tango Energy’s cheapest plan costs $2,441 a year more than Radian’s at $2,892.
